Welcom to Beatitude Project WIKI

This WIKI is a forum for the creation and dissemination of practical ideas dedicated to the cause of bringing beatitude to our Earth and its many human-made complications. Beatitude-Wiki is a sandbox for the creation of ideas that promote Beatitude on Earth. It is the hope that this wiki will eventually lead to a type of selective crowdsourcing for experts in any field with the primary goal of their research being to express patterns of truth, goodness, and beauty in all their forms. |

We are essentially packagers of information, but packagers with a known bias. The Beatitude Project is committed to the principles of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty and these inform the projects and discussion here. The web of information all around us is continuosly shifting and transforming. To move with and through it without losing site of true culture, civilization, and peace is our goal. We ask the provocative question, "Must civilization necessarily be imbued with qualities such as ignorance, violence, and apathy, and the like?" The Beatitude Project supports human endeavors that foster beatitude.

Sunday, April 24, 2011 DecoherenceDecoherence in humanistic terms is the interface between intention and realization. This is the point where idea becomes world and ultimately, matter. I am examining this concept for details that could be applied to the quest for beautitude. The obvious application is the imagination, especially visualization. With our visual acuity we process information at a very wide bandwidth. A lot of information is compacted into each sensory cell on the retina. Conversely when we visualize, we compress our intention into a form which carries a very large amount of meaning. Scientifically, awareness designs manifestation. In quantum mechanics, electrons exist in a space which contains all possibilities simultaneously without contradiction. It is only when it is observed that the electron collapses into a precise location. It would follow that focused attention, ie. intention, could be instrumental in determining an electron's position or momentum. Symbols and geometric shapes are efficient means of conveying large amounts of meaning and information in simple diagramatic representations. Visualizing harmoniously resonant diagrams, for example, the east asian chakras, could be a way of imparting a great deal of organized intention to the inception of bodies and circumstances. This is not a new notion, and has found its way into many of the world's religions epitomized in statues and paintings. Links |
